Amy Kingery is offering her service to the county of Powhatan as a Supervisor for District 2.  She does so with the knowledge that a Supervisors position is a demanding, time consuming, and at times thankless task.  She will make a steadfast commitment to energetically work for the constituents of District 2, as well as the entire county of Powhatan.

Her background is as a small business owner for 23 years specializing in Police and Military Specialized equipment and training worldwide has brought her a wealth of experience in business strategy, effective communication, and financial expertise.

Amy's civic involvement includes being a member of the Virginia Farm Bureau as well as the Pro Gun rights group VCDL. Amy is also a former Board member of a National non-profit, the National Citizens of Patrol group which worked to improve police and community relations through community-based policing efforts. Amy was the treasurer for Powhatan Republican Committee.

Amy currently serves on the Powhatan Planning Commission which acts as an advisory body to the Board of Supervisors.  This experience has given her a greater insight into the growth issues facing our county.

Amy is running as an independent to enable her to be of service to all of Powhatan County residents with fairness, honesty, and objectivity.

Amy is not affiliated with any realtor, real estate company or developer.  All of my decisions will be for the people of Powhatan.

Amy and her husband moved to Powhatan 13 years ago after his retirement from a police force.  She has 4 adult children and 2 grandchildren.  It did not take Amy long to realize that Powhatan would be her forever home. The peacefulness, tranquility, wonderful people clinched the deal.

Amy Kingery is eager to be a part of the decision making body that will chart our future in Powhatan County.

Amy believes in LIBERTY, COMMUNITY and HOME.
