As founder of Powhatan Citizen Alliance I am fully supporting Amy Kingery for District 2 Supervisor. Knowing Amy for almost 10 years I’ve come to know that she does not “go along to get along”. She is an independent thinker and does three things very well, “listens, thinks and acts” in that order.
Amy is a “what you see is what you get” person. No agenda, no pretenses just get the job done using common sense, experience, knowledge and acquired wisdom. She is an “out of the box” thinker who is open to new ideas from all who offer. A devout 2nd Amendment, Rule of Law, traditional values supporter she is what Powhatan needs in these difficult times where the cancel culture, conservatism, religion, traditional education and so much more are under attack.

When I was contacted and asked to consider writing a letter of recommendation for Amy's campaign, I jumped at the chance. Finally, I was given an opportunity to share with others who this wonderfully talented woman is.
My name is Lisa Wagner and Amy and her family have been a part of my family for decades. Our husbands share a long history dating back to the 1970's.
When I first met Amy, I was pleasantly surprised with how down to earth she is. You won't find an pretentiousness or ego with this gal. She meets everyone the same way, with her zest for life, her kindness, and her ability to instantly put you at ease. She is intelligent, honest, intuitive and has a commitment to family and friends that sometimes is unmatched by others. Her love and commitment to her husband and children has never wavered in all the years I have known her. Not one to let the world pass her by, Amy is like the 'energizer bunny'. In the spring and summer you will find her tending and harvesting fruits and vegetables from her garden where my family has benefitted from the tasty sauces and desserts. Other times through the year she is busy sharing her time finding forever homes for our sweet four legged friends. She has even managed to start a small online business. Needless to say she is a real go-getter.
Amy and I have always shared the same political principle. Freedom. The Freedoms we inherited from our Founding Father's through the Bill of Rights. I have always felt that Amy had a calling to serve politically. She possesses ALL the qualities our Founding Father's would have expected and admired in one chosen to serve. Amy's understanding of local county, and state issues is thoughtful. Not one to make a snap decision, Amy has ears to hear and she really listens. So, I will close this letter by saying:
If you are looking for a regular everyday, no nonsense, down to earth candidate, who has talent, intelligence, and most of all ears to hear, then Amy Kingery is who you want. She will put Powhatan County 1st. Guaranteed!

Right now, we are in the midst of "interesting times." Right now, we need leadership capable of navigating those times and the challenges they bring. Amy Kingery is THAT RIGHT PERSON for these times and challenges.
The qualities that make Amy THAT PERSON for RIGHT NOW:
1) Amy understands how businesses operate, the environment they need to be attracted to a community; and to become a productive contributor to that community. And, as CEO of her own successful international business, she also understands that delicate balance required to ensure that a business' impact is truly positive for that community.
2) Amy has common sense. Too often when someone is elected to office they make things too complicated. Whether by language, inclusion or exclusion, excuses or expectations - they lose their way in the maze that is our political landscape. And, it happens at the local, state, or national level. But, Amy has the wisdom of the clear sighted. She has the ability to look at a problem, diagnose the cause and bring practicable solutions to resolve it. She's not distracted by all that other political fog. And, HOW REFRESHING it is to have a conversation with someone who "gets" that!
3) Amy has a remarkable and indelible sense of humor. We've gotten so wrapped up in ourselves and our injustices and our privileges and our 'everything' that we've forgotten how to laugh. At ourselves. With one another. And, I believe, too often, we're overtaken by the heat of our convictions about whatever the topic, that we lose that ability to step outside of ourselves and take a breather from all of that passion. Amy's intelligent wit and self deprecation has come to the rescue more times than I can count in such situations.
4) Amy understands what it means to be of service. When there's something that needs to be accomplished to help or progress to be made in a situation - there's no ego. With Amy, the only questions that matter: What help is needed and how do we make it happen. Again - REFRESHING!
Electing Amy Kingery to the Board of Supervisors will ensure that the citizens of Powhatan served, represented, and valued.
